How did He make the world?<\/p>\n
First, He thought to Himself, "I desire light. I desire love. I desire acts of kindness and beauty." And He saw that this was good.<\/p>\n
Then He turned that light away. Like a person who sets aside their dreams to begin the work that will make them possible, so too the Creator turned away the vision He had originally desired.<\/p>\n
And He made a world. As if that were the whole point, a world for the sake of a world.<\/p>\n
Only much later in history did someone hear a whisper, "Do you know the true purpose for which I made this world?"\"<\/p>\n
