This Monday, an interesting article about the way Argentinians speak was published in the newspaper La Naci\u00f3n (do click<\/a> (to read it). It is a dictionary of words that have a particular meaning in Argentina.<\/p>\n

This news has special significance both because of its content and because of the time it was published, just before the Sukkot festival, where there is a reference to this matter.<\/p>\n

En t\u00e9rminos del contenido de la noticia, el juda\u00edsmo indica que una persona debe hablar con propiedad, utilizando palabras apropiadas a cada tiempo y lugar. Esto se aprende del hecho de que hay lugares en donde la Tor\u00e1, por no mencionar la palabra tam\u00e9 – impuro – que tiene una connotaci\u00f3n negativa, utiliza las palabras \u00abque no es puro\u00bb, as\u00ed agregando m\u00e1s letras de las necesarias para describir un determinado asunto. El Talmud aprende de \u00e9sto la conducta anteriormente mencionada, que uno debe hablar \u00abbien\u00bb.<\/p>\n

In terms of the timing of the news publication, the Sukkot festival makes a particular reference to the idea of speaking properly.<\/p>\n

Una de las Mitzvot particulares de la fiesta de Sucot son las \u00abcuatro especies\u00bb, Estrog (citr\u00f3n), Lulav (rama de palmera), Hadas (rama de mirto) y Arav\u00e1 (rama de sauce).<\/p>\n

The reality is that the fundamental core of each mitzvah is Divine Will; that is, we don't know the true reason why God commanded us to do this or that, but simply that He willed it. The intellectual reasons we know for each mitzvah are merely garments, suited to our understanding, upon which this Divine Will is clothed. Like a disguise, it conceals the person's true self, revealing only a facade.<\/p>\n

That said, one of the ideas of this Mitzvah of the four species is that they symbolize different parts of the body: the Etrog is the heart, the Lulav the spine, the Hadas the eyes, and the Arava the lips.<\/p>\n

Ciertamente, mucho puede decirse sobre cada uno y a\u00fan dentro de cada uno, muchas ense\u00f1anzas pueden extraerse, pero con seguridad, una de las ideas de la Arav\u00e1 representando los labios es que hay que cuidar lo que sale por la boca… que sea bueno y de buena manera.<\/p>\n
