Many were composed by King David, others by the first man, Moshe, Asaph haLevi (from the time of the First Temple), and various other authors.<\/p>\n<p>It is a Jewish custom that in times of difficulty, Tehillim are recited to seek merit and try to annul any negative decree that may exist against the person in the heavens.<\/p>\n<p>All the Psalms are Torah and are powerful, but it is generally recommended to read Psalms 20, 130, and 150.
