When a Jew leaves the Land of Israel and goes to Egypt, he is in exile. He can immediately feel the difference between the Land of Israel and Egypt.<\/p>\n

Life in Egypt makes people feel completely dependent on the Nile River. They are always looking down at this natural force.<\/p>\n
This is how many people think about galut\u2014exile. But it's a mistake to think that we are totally dependent on nature.<\/p>\n
The truth is that HaShem controls everything, including nature. When we look up at the sky and ask God to give us rain to water our fields, we remember that our food and our very lives depend on HaShem.<\/p>\n
