Another idea, related to education, as we will see later, is to think of God as a father. Just as a father wants to do good for his child, give him gifts, good things, treat him well, etc., in the same way God wants to give us a good life, health, sustenance, etc.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, just as a father corrects his son when he misbehaves, with the warning, correction, etc., depending on what happened, God should behave similarly with His children when they misbehave. That is, the bad action generates a "negative reaction"\u2014so to speak\u2014from the father, with the aim of correcting the undesirable behavior.<\/p>\n
In this sense, the fear of God is based on the belief that one is causing God to behave harshly instead of being able to express His infinite kindness.<\/p>\n
In educational and more practical terms, when a child misbehaves, one way to correct them is to say: "Why are you making me behave in ways I don't want? Why are you preventing me from treating you well and giving you gifts, etc.? Please don't behave in a way that requires me to punish you!"<\/p>\n
Try it!
