However, since the Torah is the wisdom of God and it is as infinite as He is, there is always something more to add, one more idea, one more meditation.
\nOne of the central themes of Passover is liberation. But not necessarily the historical liberation of the Jewish people, but rather personal liberation and self-improvement on a daily basis. The word Mitzrayim\u2014Egypt in Hebrew\u2014can be read as two words, meitzar\u2014my, meaning "it oppresses me." The Exodus from Mitzrayim signifies (for us, today) overcoming the barriers we impose on ourselves or that are imposed on us by the environment in which we live.<\/p>\n
In addition to this, we can say that there is a particular aspect to the self-improvement of Passover. The wisdom of Kabbalah explains that the word Passover is composed of two words: Pe-sach - the mouth that speaks.<\/p>\n
This deeper approach to Passover contains a very practical and relevant lesson: when it comes to self-improvement, it seems very difficult to know where to begin. Each person knows themselves and knows that there are many aspects of their behavior and personality that can be changed for the better.
