Why does God create the possibility of evil? That is, why does God allow a person to commit a negative act? Wouldn't it be better if we all naturally did good? God creates evil to give us the possibility of choosing to do good. If evil didn't exist, we wouldn't be able to choose to do good.

In the case of eyes, if we only had one eye, we wouldn't be able to look for merit in people without considering their negative aspects. Now that we have two eyes, we can choose to see the good in others and try to help constructively regarding the negative aspects we perceive.

In other words: when one observes another person's bad attitudes, one can see two things: 1) negative attitudes, 2) how to help correct certain attitudes.

The difference is enormous: when one sees negative attitudes, one is not helping the other person to grow, quite the contrary, by meditating on the negative aspects of the other one is increasing and revealing them (like when one constantly tells a child that he is useless, or lazy, etc., the child will believe that this is really the case and will incorporate as a second nature that he is useless or lazy, and it will be difficult for him throughout his life to modify this attitude that was not even his own...).

On the other hand, when one sees in the other an opportunity to help, one, from the very beginning, is oriented towards personal improvement, with a proactive attitude, in pursuit of the benefit of one's fellow human being.

It's an interesting exercise... let's start looking at others positively. And when something isn't good, let's think about how we can help.

Una vez el Rebe Iosef Itzjak, cuando era un niño, le preguntó a su padre, el Rebe Shalom Dov-Ber: ¿por qué tenemos dos ojos (en lugar de uno)?.
