This system works well, but it requires one condition (among others): that one buys the newspaper. That is, on one hand there are those who don't want the information and receive it anyway, just as when walking down the street (something so simple and natural) one is bombarded by hundreds of pieces of information, often "undesirable"; and on the other hand there are those who want the information, want to participate in what's happening, and don't get it.<\/p>\n
Clearly, we have a problem. Years ago, the way to find out about things was to go to the synagogue. That was the center of Jewish life, where all sorts of matters circulated, from Torah study to news of the most daring business deals available. It is essential, for the well-being of any community, to create spaces for each type of person within the community itself, where everyone knows that information is available in their space, clearly and on time.<\/p>\n
