This is the first book of the Mishneh Torah of the Rambam, Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon. Laws of Torah Study.
This chapter explains that a person is obligated to honor their teacher more than their father. If both are captured, which should be redeemed first? If the father was wise, should he be honored before the teacher? It addresses what matters are forbidden for someone to legislate in the teacher's presence, and who is qualified to do so. It also covers whether it is forbidden to call the teacher by name and how to conduct oneself toward them. Finally, it addresses how one should tear their clothes upon the teacher's death, whether they can mend the tears if the death is not of their teacher. It also covers whether the teacher should forgive their honor and whether a teacher should honor their students.
