Ingredients for the keará (Seder plate):

  • Matzah (preferably handmade).
  • Lettuce and jrein (bitter root). Lettuce leaves should be checked to ensure they are free of insects.
  • A boiled egg and roasted chicken neck. These two ingredients are reminiscent of the sacrifices eaten during Passover in the time of the Temple.
  • A piece of potato or onion.
  • Jaroset: a mixture of apple, pear, walnut and wine.

Others:

  • Kosher wine (grape juice can also be used).
  • A Haggadah with the text to be read.
  • Salt water.
  • A festive meal.
  • A cup for Eliahu (a regular glass can be used).
