Hi! For the honey cake: I think instead of adding 1 cup of water, you could add 1 cup of very strong or very dark coffee. Alternatively (to replace the coffee) you could use 1 cup of very strong or very dark tea. I would add a little orange zest for fragrance. And I would only use 1 cup of oil.
To be careful with the eggs, crack them one by one into a bowl—discarding any that aren't good. Mix the yolks with the sugar. Separately, mix and then beat the egg whites until frothy. Add the flour mixed with the baking powder to the yolks, sugar, honey, coffee (or tea), and oil. Then gently fold in the beaten egg whites, being careful not to overmix and avoiding lumps. Enjoy!
