Baruch Hashem
Eve of the Holy Shabbat 1 (from Parsha) Noah2
day thirtieth 3 of the month of Tishrei, which is Rosh Chodesh
(head, beginning of the month) by MarJeshvan
5744, Brooklyn, NY.
To all the sons and daughters of Israel
wherever they may be
May Hashem be upon them and may they have life!
Shalom and blessing!
Finding ourselves at the seal and the end 4 of the month of Tishrei, which as explained in the Holy Books 5, this same word (Tishrei תשרי The name of the month includes the letters of the word “Reshit”6 רשית , which indicates that this month constitutes (not only the beginning of the year, but fundamentally) the head of the year (Rosh), that is, just as the head of the body is in relation to the body, so too is this month 7 It defines how one's behavior will be throughout the year. Therefore, remembering the decisions (made during this month) to apply them in daily life "revitalizes" the day and all its actions, including words and thoughts, and infuses them with greater energy, light, and holiness, as these are "taken" from the head during the month of Tishrei. 8 .
It is appropriate, then, and this is the opportune moment, to make emphatic mention, by means of this letter, of at least the summary (“the final conclusion”) of the month and its festivities 9, Each of them, with respect to its specific subject, is the "head", that is, the respective source of instruction and motivation to carry out every day of the year.
Beginning with the acceptance of the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven, קבלת עול מלכות שמים and fear (of Gd) - the central point of Rosh Hashana; repentance and return (Teshuva) - the central point of the Ten Days of Teshuva 10 and of Yom Kippur; the joyful observance of the commandments 11 y 12 speed 13 h until reaching the highest expression of joy with the Torah - the central points of the festival of Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.
This review must be carried out with a strong and genuine emphasis, so as to ensure that all the teachings of the festivities and the decisions made therein are fully implemented, to the fullest extent, both quantitatively and qualitatively, in concrete action, with action being the primary focus. 14.
That it begins each day “immediately upon waking“ 15 (from the dream) with the recitation of: מודה אני לפנך מלך וכו “I thank and acknowledge you before me, King…“, an act that reflects the coronation of the King, as God asks. תמליכוני עליכם “Crown me 16 as King over you (“the acceptance of the Yoke of His Kingdom“), on Rosh Hashanah. .
This proclamation, which leads to fearing Hashem throughout the day, expresses the spirit of the Yamim Noraim, Days of Awe, in general, and of Yom Kippur in particular, accompanied by a complete Teshuvah (repentance and return to God), so that these (the acceptance of His kingdom and His fear) lead 17to the fulfillment of all His commandments (the “royal decrees“), and especially to the study of Torah. And to do so with joy, which reflects the spirit of Zman Simchatenu 18 , Time of our Joy, of the Feast of Sukkot (and the “4 species“), ,19 from Shmini Atzeret and Simchat Torah. .
And the complete and perfect action in all this will further strengthen every Jew, and unite all, through "one Torah for all," , תורה אחת לכולנה in their capacity as “God’s community“ (and His people), and made it clear that every day אלוקים ניצב בעדת א-ל “God 20 He is standing (with the strength of the King) 21 ) in the congregation of God “ , and “ קדים ואתי“ (D`s) arrives first 22 “(preceding the man), and gives him in advance the strength and the blessing to carry out all the above in a happy and complete manner. .
Especially in the current year 22* which is an embolismic year (of 13 months) and a full year 23, שנה שלמה 23* possessor of the greatest number of days possible in a year, שפ''ה 24 three hundred and eighty-five days.
And the actions taken in all of this will surely hasten and accelerate even further the true and complete redemption at the hands of Mashiaj Tzidkenu, and this will be in a peaceful and pleasant manner. 25, בשובה ונחת with perfect peace, and “Noah” נח מנוחה - tranquillity 26 complete ta 27.
Soon indeed in our time.
NOTE: If for any reason the above was not carried out, as explained in many places 28 and also referring to the practical application and legal status of Halakha 29, The auspicious time extends "after the festival," and in relation to the above, from Shmini Atzeret (and Simchat Torah) until the 7th of Mar Cheshvan.
It should be noted that, although generally the act of taking a fair balance with one's soul and the resulting conclusion, sum, and outcome, etc., is done by withdrawing into oneself, in this case, the special nature of decisions made in community, and with the merit of the community (Zejut Hatzibur), is highlighted. As explained at length in the compendium "Heijaltzu" 30 החלצו מאתכם אנשים“Enlist men from among yourselves,“ and indeed do so in such a way that each one is a Jew of the ”enlist yourselves,“ every man or woman, and do so within a Farbrengen 31, a friendly gathering - and they will all become one community to carry out Your Will with a whole heart 32 כולם אגודה אחת לעשות רצונך בלבב שלם .
