The verse in Proverbs 32:6 says: "Train up a young man in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.".
Another idea contained here concerns language. In the original Hebrew it says "Janoj laNaar" - educate the young man - "al pi darco" - according to his way. However, a literal translation of the second part would be "al pi" - in the mouth - "darco" - his way.
In other words, one must learn to teach one's children how to use their mouths—speech—to solve the problems they will face in life. May their path in life be one of communication and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.
Of course, there are levels within speech itself; one can shout, speak loudly or softly, in an angry or happy tone, with "good" words or "bad" words. It's up to you to decide what path your children (and you) will take in life with regard to speech.
In Hebrew, the Holy Language, human beings are called "min hamedaber" - literally, the speaking species - because we have the ability to speak, which is not the case with the rest of creation, which may have communication codes, sounds through which they identify different situations (of danger, of food, etc.), but do not "speak" like us.
