One of the special commandments (mitzvot) of the festival of Sukkot is to be in a sukkah. A sukkah is a booth with three or four walls, roofed with branches and leaves.
Everything in the world has a lesson for our service to God. If this is true for worldly matters, how much more so for the mitzvot, which have a lesson for us.
One of the teachings of the sukkah is that it is easy to fulfill mitzvot. One might think that to connect with God one has to transcend the world around us, somehow connect the physical world with the spiritual world where, so to speak, God is revealed.
However, the mitzvah of the sukkah teaches us that fulfilling mitzvot is easy; all one has to do is enter the sukkah. On the one hand, the sukkah itself is an easy mitzvah, and since all mitzvot are God's Will, if one is easy, they are all easy. On the other hand, the way to make mitzvot easy is to "enter the sukkah," to "engage" in the mitzvot. When one becomes involved and makes God's Will one's own will, fulfilling God's commandments becomes easy.
