Moses was born on the 7th of Adar (like this Wednesday, February 13th) in the year 2368 from creation (1393 BCE). According to one opinion, the year in which he was born was a leap year, and Moses was born on the first Adar.
Moshe, in turn, died on his 120th birthday, on the 7th of Adar in 2488 (1273 BCE).
Kabbalah explains that there is a reflection of Moses in every generation. The spiritual leader of that generation is its own Moses; it is in him that this spiritual aspect of guiding people, just as Moses guided the Jewish people in their exodus from Egypt, is revealed with the greatest intensity.
