This chapter explains what tzitzit are and whether the number of fringes is specified in the Torah, whether the Techelet (a type of lace) prohibits the use of white or vice versa, whether they are a single mitzvah (commandment), how tzitzit are made, and whether they were made without Techelet. It covers what they are made of and whether they need to be made specifically for the mitzvah and interlaced. It addresses tzitzit made by a non-Jew and whether they were made from something already made. It also covers whether the fringes were hung between two corners of the garment. The chapter addresses the law for one who prostrated before an animal, the law for one who placed tzitzit on top of another tzitzit, and whether the garment had three corners and was made to four. It covers whether the garment is folded in half and whether the corner with tzitzit was cut off. Finally, it addresses whether the fringes of the tzitzit or the corner of the garment were shortened.
