The great Rabbi Chaim Yosef David Azulay, of blessed memory (1724-1806), writes in his book Maaguel Tov, p. 14a (free translation):
On the 6th of Tammuz, two hours before midnight, we traveled diligently and walked all night and all day until 7:00 PM and arrived peacefully in Paris. Mr. Fabri came to visit, and we went to the house of his relative and stayed there for four hours. He and his relatives showed me very kind faces and wanted me to eat there with them.
