This week's parashah teaches many of the laws of the Kohanim, the priests of the Jewish people.

The Torah calls the entire Jewish people "a nation of Kohanim." We should all strive to emulate the Kohanim.

For example, the Kohanim offered sacrifices in the Beit HaMikdash – the Temple. Today we have no Temple, but our Tefillah – prayer – replaces the sacrifices.

The Kohanim taught Torah to the people. Like them, we should study Torah and teach others what we know.

The Kohanim blessed the people. They said, "He who commanded us to bless His nation with love." When we do our best to love our neighbor, it won't be long before we see the Kohanim serving in the Beit HaMikdash again.
