Entre los numerosos asuntos de la sección de ésta semana, se encuentra la historia del Segundo Pesaj (Pesaj Shení). En resumen, lo que ocurrió fue que, cuando llegó el momento de ofrendar el sacrificio de Pesaj, se acercó un grupo de gente a Moshe y le reclamó que estaban impuros de impureza ritual de un cuerpo muerto: «Por qué somos dejados afuera», exigieron.
In a normal situation, they wouldn't have been able to participate in the sacrifice, but this case was different: their purification process would end that very night, while the sacrifice had to be offered during the day. Their proposal was that someone else offer the sacrifice with them in mind, and they would eat it that night, once they were purified.
Moshe no sabía la respuesta y consultó el asunto con Di-s. Entonces, Di-s dio una «nueva Mitzvá», la del Segundo Pesaj. Que consiste en que quienes no pudieron participar de Pesaj en su fecha correcta (el 14 de Nisan al anoche) lo hagan un mes después (el 14 de Iyar a la noche).
De éste evento se aprenden muchas leyes en el Talmud y muchas enseñanzas en general. Para resaltar por lo menos una idea: el reclamo de un grupo de gente, aparentemente, generó una «nueva» Mitzvá. Pero las Mitzvot son la Voluntad de Di-s, que es inmutable (de hecho, aún en el Mundo por Venir, la época de Mashíaj, continuaremos haciendo Mitzvot tal y cual las conocemos hoy en día), entonces, ¿cómo puede haber aparecido algo totalmente nuevo ante la petición de un grupo de gente? ¿Algo cambió en la Voluntad de Di-s?
Obviously not. One possible explanation is that the mitzvah of Pesach Sheni already existed before it was required, but it had not yet been revealed. This is similar to how our sages explain a person's sustenance, which is determined on Rosh Hashanah. However, it originates in the spiritual realm and manifests itself throughout the year, step by step, in its proper time and place.
The same thing happens with the Mitzvah of Pesach Sheni: the demand of a group of people managed to reveal at that very moment what already existed.
Siendo así, este detalle del evento nos abre un camino y nos muestra claramente cómo debemos exigirle a Di-s que traiga la Redención: «Por qué somos dejados afuera» Si el Mashíaj y todas las grandes revelaciones Divinas de su época ya se encuentran fijados y establecidos en la Voluntad de Di-s, ¡que las revele ahora!, claro, la única condición es realmente querer… como el grupo de gente de la parashá de ésta semana que realmente quería participar del sacrificio de Pesaj…
