Ahmedinejad = Haman

It seems unbelievable, but current world events show us how the story of Purim is repeating itself. 2372 years ago, the wicked minister of King Ahasuerus, Haman, issued a decree to exterminate the Jewish people.

Ahora bien: ¿qué pasaría si la oveja prescindiese de los servicios del pastor y confiara su protección a alguno de los lobos? Por supuesto, se la terminarían comiendo…

Esto mismo ocurrió en la historia de Purim. El pueblo judío «presciendió» de Di-s, y se apoyó en el rey del mundo por aquella época, Ajashverosh. Poco tiempo pasó hasta que apareció el decreto para acabar con los judíos…

Esto mismo ocurre hoy: el presidente de Irán, Mahmud Ahmedinejad grita a los cuatro vientos que desea destruir a Israel. Mientras tanto, prepara su plan nuclear para llevar adelante su intención. Y nosotros, ¿Qué hacemos? Esperamos resoluciones del consejo de seguridad de la ONU, a ver qué opina Estados Unidos, cuál es la dificultad política y social de la Unión Europea y cuánto dinero quiere ganar Rusia con su venta de armas a los países árabes. In the story of Purim, Mordechai and Esther took action. They prayed, gathered children to study Torah, fasted, and sought to renew the contract with the Shepherd. Thanks be to God, they succeeded, and today we tell the story and celebrate.

We must take a stand in what is happening. Each according to our means. Increase our observance of mitzvot, study more Torah, bring others closer to God. The weapons of struggle are the same today as they were thousands of years ago. It's a matter of action.
