Marriage is like a microcosm of the soul's descent into this world:

If you seek what you can gain from this world, then the world and all its traps will only drag you down.

But if you seek what you can give, then you, your portion of the world, and your soul are uplifted and filled with light.

The same applies to marriage: seek what you can give, and reap harmony and love.
