Throughout life, human beings go through different stages that present complex challenges, requiring significant preparation to overcome them.

Everyone will agree that becoming a parent is one of these challenges. It means that individual boundaries are pushed aside to dedicate themselves to their child. In other words, the time they dedicate exclusively to themselves or their partner is reduced to accommodate the needs of the new family member.

This is the natural order of life, though not the easiest. Setting aside one's own interests for those of another is no easy task. First, one gets married, which introduces a new dimension to one's life, requiring one to attend not only to one's own affairs but also to those of another person. Then come children, bringing with them an even deeper dimension of dedication to others.

It's interesting to consider that Jewish education incorporates these steps from a very young age. One of the foundations of Jewish life is learning to consider what God wants from me, rather than what I want from God.

From a very early age, we begin to prepare ourselves for the greatest challenges of our entire lives.
