God allowed the Jewish people to live as sovereigns in the Holy Land, the place of our patriarchs - the land promised to the Jew by God.
This reality places a special burden and a privilege upon the citizens of Israel and their government: to preserve the Jewish integrity of the country. Their educational system must be founded on and inspired by Jewish values and tradition so that their citizens grow up to be proud observers of their Jewish heritage.
In their relations with other nations, those responsible for representing their government in foreign affairs must proudly uphold their Jewish pride and traditions. This will surely enhance the esteem in which Israel is held.
Jewish law establishes the necessary criteria for Israel's peace and security: these can only be achieved through a strong military position and secure borders. Any indication of a willingness to even discuss surrendering land to our enemies will only encourage terrorism in Israel and elsewhere.
