On Simchat Torah we dance with the Torah. It's a special day when we bring out all the Torah scrolls, hold them in our hands, and... dance!.
Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson, the Sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, taught that the Jewish people are the feet of the Torah. The Torah longs to dance on its day of joy, but it has no feet. It is the Jewish people who become the feet of the Torah.
This teaching means, among other things, that the Jewish people are responsible for the dissemination and teaching of the Torah in every corner of the world. We are the feet of the Torah!
