In this week’s reading we find the story of Nadav and Avihu, two sons of Aharon that perished «while getting close to God». However we find in a previous reading, parashat Shmini, that they perished because they offered a «strange fire that God did not command». What’s the connection between these two reasons that the Torah gives for this sad event?
