This is the second book of the Mishneh Torah of the Rambam, Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon. Laws of Blessings.
This chapter explains that anyone who eats bread or anything dipped in liquid is required to wash their hands (Netilat Yadayim). It covers why washing after meals was instituted and whether washing before eating bread is exempt during wartime. It addresses the extent of handwashing, the amount of water required, and whether anything should interfere with the flow of water. It discusses what precautions one must take when washing their hands, the difference between washing before and after meals, whether a person can wash their hands in the morning and then reuse them throughout the day, and whether they can cover their hands with a cloth while eating. The chapter also covers the laws regarding food and its accompaniments, including whether hands must be dried after washing before and after meals. The blessing is recited immediately after washing after meals.
