This chapter explains the laws concerning idolaters who worship mountains, an animal that was set apart for idolatry and for which no action was taken. It addresses whether a person can forbid something that does not belong to them; water raised by a wave; stones from a mountain that were moved and who prostrates themselves before them; who prostrates themselves before a tree or whose fruit is cultivated for idolatry; who prostrates themselves before a house or brings idols into a house; whether idolatry by a non-Jew is nullified, and whether idolatry by a Jew is nullified, and if so, whether it applies to both. It describes how nullification occurs and all its laws. It addresses what constitutes an altar of idolatry that has been damaged and a platform, and what each is. It explains how the Asherah pole is nullified and whether it was smoothed for one's benefit.
