This week we read in the Torah about how Eliezer, Abraham's servant, goes to find Rebekah, Nahor's daughter, to marry her to Isaac, Abraham's son.

Así como Eliézer tuvo que retirar una rosa (Rivka) de entre las espinas, de la misma manera es la tarea de los padres «retirar» a sus hijos de entre las espinas de la sociedad que constantemente atenta contra la pureza natural del corazón de los niños.

It is the responsibility of parents to safeguard this beauty, ensuring their children receive the best Jewish education, both inside and outside the home—an education based on example and love for others. Otherwise, it is very likely that the thorns will end up damaging the rose.
