Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups of sugar
1/3 cup of hot water
3 cups of flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3/4 cup butter
3 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2/3 cup of milk
STUFFED
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla
80 grams of semi-sweet chocolate
DECK
300 grams of semi-sweet chocolate
1 1/2 teaspoons of oil
Put half a cup of sugar in a heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently until it turns golden brown. Remove from heat and add the water; let it cool.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Make a very smooth mixture with the butter and the rest of the sugar, add the eggs one by one
Mix the cooled syrup with the vanilla and milk, then incorporate the flour and liquid into the creamy mixture alternately.
Cut 8 circles of 20 cm from parchment paper and place them on baking tins, or on the bases of springform pans. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions on the paper circles until you reach 1 1/2 millimeters from the edge.
Bake for 7 to 8 minutes in a preheated oven at 350ºF, remove the parchment paper and add the filling after cooling.
STUFFED
In a saucepan, mix the sugar with the eggs and cornstarch, heat over medium heat, add the chocolate, and cook until the sauce is thick. Let it cool and pour it over the cakes, stacking them on top of each other. That is, place the first one on a serving tray, add the filling, place the next one on top, and so on.
DECK
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, add the oil, put the hot coating on the cake, and it will harden as soon as it cools.
