On Simchat Torah, we dance with our feet, not our heads.

If we danced with our heads, each of us would dance a different dance, in a different space, with our friends and not with others, or as a solitary soul. Because one head is higher, another lower, one is here on earth and another in the clouds, or beyond.

But we dance with our feet, all our feet are here on the same ground, none higher and none lower, so that we can dance as one, with one heart, as one people.
