When He created the world, He decided that He would take on the role of Goodness. In that way, when we were good, we would join Him in our goodness.
He chose to have wisdom. In that way, by being wise, we would join Him with our wisdom.
He chose to become self-aware, so that we might attain awareness of that which lies beyond knowledge.
And all this He gave us in His Torah.
He gave himself.
