We all know the power of darkness; it's in the news every day. Thousands of times greater is the power of light.
A busy person stopping to do an act of kindness, a small child reaching out to give a kiss to a mezuzah, A flaming Shabbat or Hanukkah candle, each of these, are flashes of light in the night sky.
It's true, they rarely appear in the news. But yesterday's dark news will pass like the shadows of clouds on a windy day. The light endures eternally, accumulating with each glimmer, until there is no space left for darkness to hide.
