The natural tendency is to treat spiritual matters as a luxury, as an add-on to life. Eating, sleeping, making money—these things take priority, and the time spent on them is sacred. But prayer, meditation, and study only fit in when you feel like it, and they are quickly displaced by the slightest whim.
You must project your priorities according to your inner self. You must ask yourself if this is what life is all about.
Set aside time for activities that enrich you spiritually. Be strict with that time, like a workaholic is with their business.
