In reality, He loves you, but you despise Him. As the popular saying goes: "What is in your heart toward your friend, you imagine your friend feels toward you.".
Sometimes you feel like you're good, but God isn't being good to you.
How does God feel? Exactly the same as you. He fills you with love and awaits the moment when you will return to Him with love.
He awaits every word of your prayers, every commandment you perform, and every word of Torah that comes from your lips.
You can escape, you can run away. The moment you turn around, He'll be there waiting.
