This year began with many changes at Beit Chabad La Plata. On the one hand, Jaia Mushka was born in January. This event brought with it the obligation to reorganize as a family.
On the other hand, the construction of the new Beit Chabad reached a critical point, at which we were left without a project manager, so we had to fulfill that role (despite the lack of knowledge of the matter...).
Then there was the fact that our children started going to school in Buenos Aires four times a week, which left only the afternoons as usable time.
Then we moved in. Into a house under construction... dust everywhere, disorder, disorganization, dirt, and workers wandering around the house from 8 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon.
Of course, moving house also meant moving the synagogue... which is also under construction... more disorder, more dirt, and more workers...
All these factors forced us to stop most of the activities we had been doing. There was simply no way we could perform, both physically and intellectually.
Thanks to God's infinite kindness, the work on the house is (almost) finished, the Chabad House is semi-usable and activities have resumed.
To begin, the Talks on Judaism started every Wednesday at 8:30 pm. The idea behind this space is that it is open to all ages, dynamic and participatory, where the dialogue is not unidirectional (from the rabbi to the audience) but bidirectional, where the audience can raise topics and ask questions, and the proposed issues will be addressed in due course.
In a world where information reigns supreme, we invite everyone to become informed, to know what Judaism is, what the Torah says about the most diverse topics of life, and to be able to apply that information in the best way to connect with God and bring Him to earth.
