The words and stories of the Torah are but its clothes; the teachings within them are its body.

And, as with the body, within those teachings breathes a soul that gives life to all who follow them.

And within that soul breathes a deeper, transcendental soul, the soul of the soul: God Himself within His Torah.

Take the clothes alone and you have an empty shell. Take the soul directly, or even the body, and you will obtain nothing. They are not to be taken; they are divine wisdom, and you are a created being.

Instead, examine those words and stories, turn them over and over. Like fine clothes and jewels, they can reveal the beauty of the wearer, so that those words and stories can guide you to the divinity that resides within the Torah.
